As we approached our one year anniversary, we figured a long weekend trip would be the perfect way to recharge our batteries. We initially planned on heading to Astoria, on the Oregon coast, but a seafood festival made finding hotel rooms almost impossible. We looked at a few other options along the Oregon and Washington coasts, but nothing really clicked.
We booked a hotel at the Metropolitan Hotel (AKA "The Met") and mentioned that it was our anniversary thinking we may get some cool stuff.
